Touch of Jazz is a popular quartet that delights audiences with solid jazz and swing standards from the '20s through the '70s. This great little band got its start in northern Colorado in 1980. The group's founder and leader, trumpeter/flugelhornist Gil Garcia, had played with area groups for years before forming his own band with its own brand of swinging mainstream jazz. Over the years, Touch of Jazz has attracted some of the finest and most experienced instrumentalists in the area. Together they've created a tightly knit swing quartet with a clear line and rock-steady rhythm – a pleasure to listen to and a joy to dance to.
